Hey, I hear you're going to be teaching a computer class. That's awesome! The hardest part is figuring out where to begin, so we've created these materials so that you'll be ready to roll. Before you begin, review these tips for teaching computer classes and for assisting a patron one-on-one. In each category, you'll find lesson plans, presentations, handouts, tips, and activities to help you. At first you may want to stick to the lesson plan, but as you grow more comfortable don't be afraid to change things up. Make your own lessons using our presentation and handout templates. Try different activities and put your own spin on the presentations. Expand your own knowledge through the links provided. Don't forget, you should have the patrons fill out an evaluation form for both classes and one-on-one assistance.
